Volunteers from Aboitiz Group and partner communities plant bamboo along the Mananga River in Cebu, marking the start of the Aboitiz Foundation’s journey to 10 million trees under its CarbonPH program.

In collaboration with local community leaders, volunteers, and business partners, Aboitiz Foundation planted 700 bamboo seedlings along the Mananga River in Cebu to celebrate World Bamboo Day and Philippine Bamboo Month on Saturday. This marks the start of the Foundation’s meaningful journey to grow 10 million trees through its flagship CarbonPH program.

Aboitiz Equity Ventures (AEV) reaffirmed its sustainability leadership at the Philippine Sustainability Leadership Forum (PSLF), held at the Aboitiz Tech Space, AIM. Co-presented by AEV with Next Move and Nexus Sustainability, the forum gathered top leaders from government, business, and civil society to drive a national strategy for inclusive, climate-resilient growth, showcasing business solutions to challenges in climate change, circularity, and social equity.

The Memorandum of Agreement signed by Aboitiz Foundation President Ginggay Hontiveros-Malvar and Okada Foundation, Inc. President James Lorenzana will expand AuroraPH across seven provinces nationwide.

Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. the corporate social responsibility arm of Aboitiz Group, the Philippines’ first techglomerate, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Okada Foundation, Inc. (OFI) to advance inclusive education in the Philippines’ most underserved communities by scaling up AuroraPH, a flagship program that delivers renewable energy, internet connectivity, and digital learning tools to last-mile schools in the Philippines.
