FOLLOWING the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Patrick “Pato” Gregorio officially opened the gates of key government sports facilities—including the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila, ULTRA in Pasig, and facilities in Baguio—for free public use.

The public has warmly welcomed the move, with people from all walks of life flocking to the PSC track ovals to work out and prioritize their health. Since the opening, the tracks have been bustling with activity, as fitness enthusiasts, amateur athletes, and health-conscious citizens take full advantage of the opportunity.

The PSC track ovals are open daily from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, providing a safe and accessible space for Filipinos to engage in physical activity and promote a healthier lifestyle.

“The President’s focus on sports during his SONA is a testament to the growing strength of our sports development program and its relevance to national development. We in the PSC recognize this responsibility and are wholly committed to strengthening sports from the grassroots to build up our athletes and nurture a proud and healthy citizenry,” said Gregorio.

“With the President’s support, we are certain our athletes will go farther, climb higher, and smile wider. Makakaasa po kayong buong puso naming tatanggapin at isasakatuparan ang lahat ng direktiba ng Pangulo.”
