Philippine sports officials will begin operational testing of the newly renovated courts at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center on Monday, January 12, just two weeks ahead of the historic Philippine Women’s Open (PWO).

FORMER world No. 2 and Paris Olympic silver medalist Donna Krevic of Croatia and resurgent German veteran Tatjana Maria, ranked No. 45 in the world, head the impressive list of early entries in the inaugural Philippine Women’s Open, kicking off Jan. 26  at the newly refurbished Rizal Memorial Tennis Center. 

BANGKOK — The Philippine men’s and women’s tennis teams both failed to reach the gold medal match in the team event of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games tennis tournament, falling to separate foes at the National Tennis Development Center in Nonthaburi on Friday.
